- Communication and delegation in an emergency

- Recognition and Treatment of the following:

·        Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

·        Choking Casualty

·        Unconscious Casualty

·        Bleeding

·        Shock

·        Heart Attack

·        Broken Bones, Muscle and Joint Injuries

·        Burns and Scalds

·        Eye Injuries, including Irrigation

·        Poisons

·        Illnesses i.e. Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy

- Personal Hygiene

- Simple Record Keeping

- Contents of First Aid Box

- Purchasing and Ordering Supplies

- Transportation of Casualties

Course Duration

Induction Course – 3 Days

Re-qualification – 2 Days

Certification

On successful completion of this course and assessment, each candidate will receive an HSE approved, nationally recognised certificate of attendance valid for three years
